We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage and maintain the company's financial records with accuracy and compliance. You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, statutory filings (GST and TDS), reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate is well-versed in Tally and Excel, understands Indian taxation, and can work independently to keep our books audit-ready. This role is central to the financial health of the organization and offers the chance to take ownership of the full accounting cycle.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts, including journal entries, ledgers, and vouchers.
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, sales, purchases, and expenses.
- Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings on time.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment follow-ups.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Track and manage petty cash, employee reimbursements, and vendor payments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Tally (ERP/Prime) and advanced MS Excel.
- Sound working knowledge of GST, TDS, and general taxation compliance.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and the full accounting cycle.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling numbers.
- Ability to meet filing deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
- B.Com or M.Com; candidates pursuing CA Inter are an added advantage.
