We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Executive to join our team, working on a hybrid basis from our Toronto office and from home. In this role you will be a key member of our Human Resources function, contributing directly to our goals and working closely with talented colleagues across the business.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership and impact. You will apply your skills in Recruitment, Onboarding and HR Operations to solve interesting problems, ship work you can be proud of and help us raise the bar for what we do. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, share your ideas openly and have the support you need to do your best work and grow along the way.
You will bring around 6 to 10 years of relevant experience and strong, practical knowledge of Recruitment, Onboarding and HR Operations. Just as important are clear communication, sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with people across different teams and backgrounds. Experience leading projects, mentoring others and influencing decisions will set you up for success in this role.
Within your first few months, you will get up to speed with our products, processes and people, build strong working relationships across the team, and begin taking ownership of your own work. Responsibilities
As a Senior Human Resources Executive at Terra Works, you will play a central role within our Human Resources function and take ownership of a broad and varied set of responsibilities. Working alongside a collaborative, motivated team, your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:- Mentor, coach and support more junior team members, helping them grow and do their best work.
- Represent your function in cross-functional and leadership discussions.
- Translate strategy into concrete plans and measurable outcomes for the team.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and build effective, inclusive hiring processes.
- Continuously improve HR processes, tools and documentation for efficiency and a great employee experience.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employees on HR questions, concerns and grievances.
- Administer HR processes such as performance reviews, compensation cycles and policy updates.
- Analyse people data and metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies.
- Coordinate employer-branding activities to attract and retain top talent.
- Design and deliver onboarding experiences that set new joiners up for success from day one.
- Support learning, development and career-growth programmes across the organisation.
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion in everything from hiring to day-to-day practices.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to interviewing, offers and onboarding.
- Support employee engagement, retention and relations initiatives that strengthen company culture.
- Plan and manage your workload to balance quality, speed and competing demands.
- Ensure your work meets agreed quality, compliance and security standards before it is considered complete.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, care and integrity at all times.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (Master's preferred)
