About the role

Radiant Dynamics is a Robotics & Automation company founded in 2014 and based in Munich, Germany. As an early-stage team of fewer than ten people, we combine the pace, ambition and ownership of a modern business with a genuine commitment to quality, integrity and the people who work here. Radiant Dynamics is a Munich-based robotics & automation firm established in 2014 with a clear mission to redefine its market. Sustainability and ethical practice sit at the heart of how the business operates and grows. You can learn more about us at https://www.radiantdynamics.ai.

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team, working on-site from our Munich office. In this role you will be a key member of our Engineering function, contributing directly to our goals and working closely with talented colleagues across the business.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership and impact. You will apply your skills in C, C++ and RTOS to solve interesting problems, ship work you can be proud of and help us raise the bar for what we do. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, share your ideas openly and have the support you need to do your best work and grow along the way.

You will bring around 6 to 10 years of relevant experience and strong, practical knowledge of C, C++ and RTOS. Just as important are clear communication, sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with people across different teams and backgrounds. Experience leading projects, mentoring others and influencing decisions will set you up for success in this role.

Within your first few months, you will get up to speed with our products, processes and people, build strong working relationships across the team, and begin taking ownership of your own work. Over time, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise, take on broader scope and grow your career with us as the company continues to scale.

In return, we offer a supportive, inclusive and collaborative environment, competitive pay, meaningful benefits and the chance to do work that genuinely matters. We care about our people, invest in their growth and want everyone here to be able to do the best work of their careers.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. Radiant Dynamics is an equal-opportunity employer: we welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse team and an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. Apply today and tell us why you would be a great fit.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer at Radiant Dynamics, you will play a central role within our Engineering function and take ownership of a broad and varied set of responsibilities. Working alongside a collaborative, motivated team, your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Mentor, coach and support more junior team members, helping them grow and do their best work.
- Lead by example, setting a high bar for quality, collaboration and professionalism.
- Translate strategy into concrete plans and measurable outcomes for the team.
- Review the work of your peers, provide constructive feedback and help raise the overall quality bar of the codebase.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment processes to enable safe and frequent releases.
- Document technical decisions, write runbooks and share knowledge so the wider team can operate and extend your work.
- Participate actively in design discussions, architecture reviews and technical planning sessions across the engineering organisation.
- Stay current with emerging tools, frameworks and industry trends, and evaluate how they could benefit our stack.
- Design, build and maintain high-quality, well-tested and scalable solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Take part in on-call rotations where required and respond promptly and calmly to incidents and outages.
- Continuously monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and drive improvements in reliability, latency and cost.
- Investigate, debug and resolve production issues, performing root-cause analysis and putting preventive measures in place.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code, and contribute to shared libraries, tooling and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and QA to ship reliable features on agreed timelines.
- Translate product and business requirements into clear technical designs, breaking large problems into well-scoped, deliverable pieces of work.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the team and the company professionally in internal and external interactions.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and bring forward practical ideas to make our products, processes and ways of working better.
- Contribute actively to a positive, inclusive, supportive and collaborative team culture.
- Ensure your work meets agreed quality, compliance and security standards before it is considered complete.
- Communicate progress, risks and blockers clearly and proactively to your manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Proactively flag dependencies and coordinate with other teams to keep work moving smoothly.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, care and integrity at all times.
- Bring energy, curiosity and a solutions-focused mindset to everyday challenges.
- Participate constructively in team meetings, stand-ups, planning sessions, demos and retrospectives.

- Commuter, transport and travel support to make getting to and from work easier and more affordable.
- Regular recognition and appreciation for great work, both publicly and privately.
- Free snacks, beverages and regular catered meals to keep you fuelled through the day.
- a generous annual leave allowance well above the statutory minimum, plus public holidays, because rest and time to recharge are essential to doing great, sustainable work.
- A flat, low-ego environment where good ideas can come from anyone and are acted upon.
- Support for relocation where relevant, to help you make a smooth move and settle in quickly.
- Flexible time-off arrangements and the trust to take the breaks you need, when you need them.
- A competitive salary that is reviewed regularly and benchmarked against the market to keep your pay fair and current.
- Access to telemedicine and online doctor consultations so you can get care quickly, wherever you are.
- A dedicated annual learning and development budget you can spend on courses, books, certifications and conferences.
