We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team, working on a hybrid basis from our Amsterdam office and from home. In this role you will be a key member of our Sales function, contributing directly to our goals and working closely with talented colleagues across the business.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership and impact. You will apply your skills in Business Development, Lead Generation and Partnerships to solve interesting problems, ship work you can be proud of and help us raise the bar for what we do. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, share your ideas openly and have the support you need to do your best work and grow along the way.
You will bring around 6 to 10 years of relevant experience and strong, practical knowledge of Business Development, Lead Generation and Partnerships. Just as important are clear communication, sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with people across different teams and backgrounds. Experience leading projects, mentoring others and influencing decisions will set you up for success in this role.
Within your first few months, you will get up to speed with our products, processes and people, build strong working relationships across the team, and begin taking ownership of your own work. Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Development Manager at Cobalt Capital, you will play a central role within our Sales function and take ownership of a broad and varied set of responsibilities. Working alongside a collaborative, motivated team, your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:- Own key projects end to end, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring successful delivery.
- Define and improve processes, standards and ways of working across the team.
- Develop and nurture strong, trusted relationships with prospects, customers and key decision-makers.
- Consistently meet or exceed individual monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored to each prospect's context.
- Gather and share market and competitor intelligence and customer feedback with internal teams.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect needs and position the right solution and value proposition.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all activity, opportunities and communications in the CRM.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close deals while protecting margins and long-term customer relationships.
- Build, manage and accurately forecast a healthy sales pipeline using the company's CRM and sales tools.
- Manage contract renewals and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Identify, research and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up.
- Collaborate with marketing, product and customer success to ensure a smooth end-to-end customer journey.
- Represent the company professionally at meetings, events and industry conferences.
- Continuously develop your skills, seek feedback and stay current with the latest developments in your field.
- Support onboarding, knowledge-sharing and documentation so the wider team can learn, scale and succeed.
