PHP Laravel Developer

As a PHP Laravel Developer, you build and maintain web applications on the Laravel framework. You will write clean, secure PHP, design database schemas, build APIs, and ship features that are easy to maintain. The role suits someone who knows Laravel well, cares about code quality, and can own modules from design through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate third-party and payment services
• Design, optimise, and maintain MySQL database schemas and queries
• Write reusable, well-structured, and tested code using MVC and Eloquent
• Debug, refactor, and improve performance of existing modules
• Implement authentication, authorisation, and input validation securely
• Handle deployments, environment configuration, and basic server tasks
• Take part in code reviews and follow team coding standards
• Write clear documentation for features and APIs

What we're looking for

• 2-4 years building applications with PHP and Laravel
• Strong MySQL skills including query optimisation and migrations
• Solid understanding of MVC, Eloquent ORM, Blade, and Composer
• Experience with REST API design and Git workflows
• Understanding of secure coding practices
• Good to have: Vue/Livewire, Redis, queues, and unit testing (PHPUnit)
• Good to have: experience with CI/CD and cloud hosting
