About the role

Ridge Energy is a Mining & Metals company founded in 1997 and based in Sydney, Australia. As an early-stage team of fewer than ten people, we combine the pace, ambition and ownership of a modern business with a genuine commitment to quality, integrity and the people who work here. Since 1997, Ridge Energy has operated at the forefront of the mining & metals sector from its base in Sydney, Australia. By blending automation, data, and human insight, the firm consistently raises the bar for quality and speed. You can learn more about us at https://www.ridgeenergy.ai.

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team, working fully remotely from anywhere in the country. In this role you will be a key member of our Marketing function, contributing directly to our goals and working closely with talented colleagues across the business.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership and impact. You will apply your skills in Marketing Strategy, Campaign Management and Budgeting to solve interesting problems, ship work you can be proud of and help us raise the bar for what we do. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, share your ideas openly and have the support you need to do your best work and grow along the way.

You will bring around 3 to 6 years of relevant experience and strong, practical knowledge of Marketing Strategy, Campaign Management and Budgeting. Just as important are clear communication, sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with people across different teams and backgrounds.

Within your first few months, you will get up to speed with our products, processes and people, build strong working relationships across the team, and begin taking ownership of your own work. Over time, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise, take on broader scope and grow your career with us as the company continues to scale.

In return, we offer a supportive, inclusive and collaborative environment, competitive pay, meaningful benefits and the chance to do work that genuinely matters. We care about our people, invest in their growth and want everyone here to be able to do the best work of their careers.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. Ridge Energy is an equal-opportunity employer: we welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse team and an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. Apply today and tell us why you would be a great fit.

Responsibilities

As a Marketing Manager at Ridge Energy, you will play a central role within our Marketing function and take ownership of a broad and varied set of responsibilities. Working alongside a collaborative, motivated team, your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Mentor, coach and support more junior team members, helping them grow and do their best work.
- Build alignment across stakeholders and resolve competing priorities constructively.
- Translate strategy into concrete plans and measurable outcomes for the team.
- Track, analyse and report on campaign performance, attribution and return on investment.
- Develop messaging, positioning and content that clearly communicates value to target audiences.
- Manage budgets, vendors and agencies to deliver campaigns on time and within budget.
- Monitor competitive activity and industry trends to keep our marketing fresh and relevant.
- Collaborate with sales to design and run effective lead-generation and nurture programmes.
- Plan, execute and optimise integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels to drive awareness and demand.
- Run experiments and A/B tests to continuously improve conversion and engagement.
- Conduct market and customer research to inform strategy, segmentation and targeting.
- Define and report on the key marketing metrics that connect activity to business outcomes.
- Partner with creative and product teams on launches, events and go-to-market activities.
- Own and grow the company's presence across digital channels, including web, social and email.
- Manage the content calendar and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints and materials.
- Ensure your work meets agreed quality, compliance and security standards before it is considered complete.
- Proactively flag dependencies and coordinate with other teams to keep work moving smoothly.
- Take full ownership of your work, manage your own priorities and consistently deliver to a high standard and on time.
- Participate constructively in team meetings, stand-ups, planning sessions, demos and retrospectives.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adapt to changing priorities and remain calm, focused and effective in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
- Continuously develop your skills, seek feedback and stay current with the latest developments in your field.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and bring forward practical ideas to make our products, processes and ways of working better.
- Communicate progress, risks and blockers clearly and proactively to your manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Support onboarding, knowledge-sharing and documentation so the wider team can learn, scale and succeed.
- Collaborate respectfully and effectively with colleagues across teams, functions, time zones and locations.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, learning from mistakes and celebrating shared wins.
