About the role

Anvaya Media is a Cybersecurity company founded in 2007 and based in Ambala, India. As a growing organisation of 51 to 200 employees, we combine the pace, ambition and ownership of a modern business with a genuine commitment to quality, integrity and the people who work here. Since 2007, Anvaya Media has grown from a Ambala venture into a trusted cybersecurity player across Tier-2 India. Its offerings are designed to be accessible, multilingual, and suited to first-time digital users. You can learn more about us at https://www.anvayamedia.io.

We are looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer to join our team, working fully remotely from anywhere in the country. In this role you will be a key member of our Design function, contributing directly to our goals and working closely with talented colleagues across the business.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership and impact. You will apply your skills in Figma, User Research and Wireframing to solve interesting problems, ship work you can be proud of and help us raise the bar for what we do. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, share your ideas openly and have the support you need to do your best work and grow along the way.

You will bring around 11 to 15 years of relevant experience and strong, practical knowledge of Figma, User Research and Wireframing. Just as important are clear communication, sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with people across different teams and backgrounds. Experience leading projects, mentoring others and influencing decisions will set you up for success in this role.

Within your first few months, you will get up to speed with our products, processes and people, build strong working relationships across the team, and begin taking ownership of your own work. Over time, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise, take on broader scope and grow your career with us as the company continues to scale.

In return, we offer a supportive, inclusive and collaborative environment, competitive pay, meaningful benefits and the chance to do work that genuinely matters. We care about our people, invest in their growth and want everyone here to be able to do the best work of their careers.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. Anvaya Media is an equal-opportunity employer: we welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse team and an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. Apply today and tell us why you would be a great fit.

Responsibilities

As a Lead UI/UX Designer at Anvaya Media, you will play a central role within our Design function and take ownership of a broad and varied set of responsibilities. Working alongside a collaborative, motivated team, your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identify capability gaps and contribute to hiring and team development.
- Define and improve processes, standards and ways of working across the team.
- Mentor, coach and support more junior team members, helping them grow and do their best work.
- Contribute to and evolve the design system, maintaining consistency across products and platforms.
- Stay current with design trends, tools and accessibility standards, and share learnings with the team.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering to ensure designs are feasible and faithfully implemented.
- Prepare clean, well-organised handoff files and specifications for engineering.
- Conduct and synthesise user research to ground design decisions in real customer needs and behaviours.
- Run usability testing and iterate on designs based on qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Lead the design of intuitive, accessible and visually compelling experiences from initial concept through to final delivery.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity designs that clearly communicate your ideas.
- Present and defend your design rationale to stakeholders, and incorporate feedback constructively.
- Maintain a high bar for craft, attention to detail and brand consistency in everything you ship.
- Balance user needs, business goals and technical constraints to arrive at pragmatic, elegant solutions.
- Advocate for the user and for good design practice throughout the product development process.
- Collaborate respectfully and effectively with colleagues across teams, functions, time zones and locations.
- Bring energy, curiosity and a solutions-focused mindset to everyday challenges.
- Contribute actively to a positive, inclusive, supportive and collaborative team culture.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and bring forward practical ideas to make our products, processes and ways of working better.
- Support and step in for teammates when needed to help the team meet its shared goals.
- Take full ownership of your work, manage your own priorities and consistently deliver to a high standard and on time.
- Represent the team and the company professionally in internal and external interactions.
- Communicate progress, risks and blockers clearly and proactively to your manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Continuously develop your skills, seek feedback and stay current with the latest developments in your field.
- Participate constructively in team meetings, stand-ups, planning sessions, demos and retrospectives.
- Ensure your work meets agreed quality, compliance and security standards before it is considered complete.
