Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot• Design REST APIs and integrate with databases and external services
• Model data and write efficient queries with JPA/Hibernate
• Write unit and integration tests for reliability
• Optimise performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Follow secure coding practices and proven design patterns
• Take part in code reviews and architecture discussions
• Support build, deployment, and monitoring of services
• Document APIs, services, and key design decisions
What we're looking for
• 2-5 years of Java development experience• Strong with Spring / Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA
• Solid understanding of OOP, data structures, and SQL
• Experience with Maven/Gradle and Git
• Good grasp of REST API design and testing
• Good to have: microservices, Kafka, Docker, and cloud deployment
• Good to have: experience with CI/CD pipelines
