About the role

Pulse Global is a Event Management company founded in 1988 and based in London, United Kingdom. As a close-knit team of 11 to 50 people, we combine the pace, ambition and ownership of a modern business with a genuine commitment to quality, integrity and the people who work here. Pulse Global, launched in 1988, has grown into a trusted name across the event management landscape. Sustainability and ethical practice sit at the heart of how the business operates and grows. You can learn more about us at https://www.pulseglobal.us.

We are looking for a capable Graphic Designer to join our team, working fully remotely from anywhere in the country. In this role you will be a key member of our Design function, contributing directly to our goals and working closely with talented colleagues across the business.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership and impact. You will apply your skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Branding to solve interesting problems, ship work you can be proud of and help us raise the bar for what we do. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, share your ideas openly and have the support you need to do your best work and grow along the way.

You will bring around 2 to 4 years of relevant experience and strong, practical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Branding. Just as important are clear communication, sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with people across different teams and backgrounds.

Within your first few months, you will get up to speed with our products, processes and people, build strong working relationships across the team, and begin taking ownership of your own work. Over time, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise, take on broader scope and grow your career with us as the company continues to scale.

In return, we offer a supportive, inclusive and collaborative environment, competitive pay, meaningful benefits and the chance to do work that genuinely matters. We care about our people, invest in their growth and want everyone here to be able to do the best work of their careers.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. Pulse Global is an equal-opportunity employer: we welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse team and an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. Apply today and tell us why you would be a great fit.

Responsibilities

As a Graphic Designer at Pulse Global, you will play a central role within our Design function and take ownership of a broad and varied set of responsibilities. Working alongside a collaborative, motivated team, your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain a high bar for craft, attention to detail and brand consistency in everything you ship.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity designs that clearly communicate your ideas.
- Advocate for the user and for good design practice throughout the product development process.
- Contribute to and evolve the design system, maintaining consistency across products and platforms.
- Stay current with design trends, tools and accessibility standards, and share learnings with the team.
- Prepare clean, well-organised handoff files and specifications for engineering.
- Balance user needs, business goals and technical constraints to arrive at pragmatic, elegant solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering to ensure designs are feasible and faithfully implemented.
- Run usability testing and iterate on designs based on qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Lead the design of intuitive, accessible and visually compelling experiences from initial concept through to final delivery.
- Present and defend your design rationale to stakeholders, and incorporate feedback constructively.
- Conduct and synthesise user research to ground design decisions in real customer needs and behaviours.
- Adapt to changing priorities and remain calm, focused and effective in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
- Communicate progress, risks and blockers clearly and proactively to your manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Plan and manage your workload to balance quality, speed and competing demands.
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation and keep all relevant systems, tools and trackers up to date.
- Represent the team and the company professionally in internal and external interactions.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and bring forward practical ideas to make our products, processes and ways of working better.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, learning from mistakes and celebrating shared wins.
- Proactively flag dependencies and coordinate with other teams to keep work moving smoothly.
- Bring energy, curiosity and a solutions-focused mindset to everyday challenges.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Take full ownership of your work, manage your own priorities and consistently deliver to a high standard and on time.
- Contribute actively to a positive, inclusive, supportive and collaborative team culture.
- Support and step in for teammates when needed to help the team meet its shared goals.
- Participate constructively in team meetings, stand-ups, planning sessions, demos and retrospectives.
- Uphold the company's values, policies, security requirements and standards of professional conduct in all activities.
