Front End Developer

As a Front End Developer, you own everything the user sees and interacts with. You will translate designs from Figma into responsive, accessible, and fast web interfaces, and work side by side with designers and backend engineers to ship features that feel smooth on every screen. This is a hands-on coding role where attention to detail, performance, and clean component structure matter as much as shipping quickly. You will be trusted to own features end to end on the front end, from first commit to production.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, cross-browser user interfaces from Figma/Adobe XD designs using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript
• Develop and maintain reusable UI components within a shared design system
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and manage client-side state cleanly
• Optimise page load speed, rendering, and Core Web Vitals for a fast experience
• Ensure mobile responsiveness and consistent behaviour across browsers and devices
• Improve accessibility to WCAG standards (keyboard navigation, ARIA, contrast)
• Write unit and component tests and take part in peer code reviews
• Debug and fix UI issues reported by QA, users, or monitoring tools
• Collaborate with designers to refine interactions, micro-animations, and edge cases
• Keep documentation and component libraries up to date for the team

What we're looking for

• 2-4 years building production front-end applications
• Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands-on experience with React (or Vue) and a state management approach
• Solid understanding of responsive design, Flexbox, and CSS Grid
• Comfortable with Git-based workflows, branching, and code reviews
• Good to have: TypeScript, Next.js, testing libraries (Jest/RTL), and Webpack/Vite
• Good to have: familiarity with CI/CD and basic performance profiling
